Artistic and ethnographic expedition «Salt» stays now in Ermekeevo region of Bashkortostan

UFA, 15 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. Members of the artistic and ethnographic expedition «Salt» stay now in Ermekeevo region of Bashkortostan. They are planning to spend a week here and then go to Burzyan region.

In Ermekeevo region members of the expedition will be looking for "salt of the earth" communicating with the local mullah, 106-year-old grandmother not speaking Russian, and the groom, who had never traveled by car.

The expedition participants came here after a trip to the village of Bedeeva Polyana in Blagoveschensk region of Bashkortostan, where 750 people live. After Ermekeevo region the expedition will go to Burzyan region, the village of Kaga, where they are planning to meet with the local wild-hive beekeeper.

The "Salt" expedition began on August 24. It is a non-profit project in which three Ufa townspeople take part: Valentin Novoselov, Anna Kirillova and Sergey Laukhin. The last 12 years they studied and worked in Moscow. Their trip over the republic will take one month. All this time the team will collect documentary photography and video, conduct seminars and meetings, including with athletes, students and youth public organizations.

The project includes an expedition, webcast, reporting movie, a series of interactive exhibitions and workshops. It can be followed in all social networks - «Vkontakte», Facebook, Youtube channel and on the website in Instagram.
