"Festival of Science" will be annual and will get a republican status in Ufa

UFA, 15 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. The second city "Festival of Science" which was held in Ufa for two days on September 12 and 13 became even larger and more exciting than the first one. Thousands of people visited activities at 11 festival venues. Henceforth it was decided to conduct a scientific festival every year, according to the press service of the city administration.

As the main organizers of scientific festival the Fund for Support and Development of Science RB mark, the guests of the festival took an active part in the various scientific tests and experiments. Thus, in the "Open Lab of DNA and Genetics" everyone had an opportunity to identify their own DNA, and in the "Open Lab of Surgery" they were entrusted to carry out an operation on a special mannequin.

The most widespread activities of the festival were open lectures by internationally renowned Russian scientists such as astrophysicist Sergey Popov, Professor at the Institute of Johns Hopkins (USA) Ildar Khannanov, erudite Anatoly Wasserman and the winner of the first Crystal Owl of TV program "What? Where? When?" Nurali Latypov.

It is planned to make the third "Festival of Science" more large-scale and give it the status of the republican one.
