Population of Bashkortostan increased by 5445 people for seven months of 2014

UFA, 11 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency,Iliya Spiridonov/. The natural increase of Bashkortostan population amounted to 3434 people in January-July. Migration balance also turned positive – by 2011 people more came than departed. Thus, the overall result of natural and migratory movement of the republican population formed positive and amounted to 5445 people compared to 5196 people in January-July 2013, Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reports.

For seven months in the republic 34,855 babies were born - this is by 2.8 percent more than in the same period last year. Positive demographic trend is observed in five cities (Ufa, Neftekamsk, Oktyabrsky, Sibay, Sterlitamak) and in 27 municipalities.

During the same period 31,421 people died in the region, which is by 1.7 percent less than the last year. Thus, in Bashkortostan births exceed the number of deaths by 10.9 percent (in January and July of 2013 – by 6.1 percent). In Russia as a whole the situation is reverse: the number of deaths exceeds the number of births by 0.4 percent.

In the Volga Federal District statistics noted the natural population growth in seven regions: Tatarstan (5272 people), the Republic of Bashkortostan (3434), the Udmurt Republic (1676), the Perm Territory (1194), Mari El (470) and Chuvashia (430 ) and Orenburg region (167).
