Andrey Vasilevsky recognized as the best hockey goalkeeper of the year

UFA, 11 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency,Dmitry Slezin/. The Russian goalie, former player of Salavat Yulaev (Ufa) 20-year-old Andrey Vasilevsky was awarded the prize "Best Ice Hockey Goalkeeper of the Year".

This award was founded by the Olympic champion Alexander Pashkov and sports patron Alexander Petrov more than 20 years ago. It is awarded under the auspices of the Federation of Sports Journalists of Russia. The Russian Ice Hockey Federation determines the winner.

Andrey Vasilevsky made a name for himself already in the youth team of Russia, and today he is one of the top goalkeepers of the country, the world champion of 2014, a rookie of NHL "Tampa Bay Lightning." Last season, largely thanks to Andrey Salavat Yulaev reached the finals of the KHL Eastern Conference.
