Rustem Khamitov met with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev

UFA, 10 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency/. On September 9, in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan) the meeting of the head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev was held. As the press service of the head of the region informs, the cooperation prospects between Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan in economic and humanitarian fields were discussed at the meeting.

Recall that Bashkortostan official delegation headed by Rustem Khamitov arrived in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic - Bishkek on September 8. On the same day, the head of Bashkortostan met with members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the presentation of Bashkortostan Republic for the business community of Kyrgyzstan was conducted.

Note: According to the results of 2013 the trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan totaled 224.2 million dollars, including export - 223.8 million dollars, import - 0.4 million dollars. Total foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan and Kyrgyz Republic takes the 21th place with relative share of 1.5%. Bashkortostan supplies to Kyrgyzstan petroleum products (94.5% of total exports); Kyrgyzstan supplies to Bashkortostan - bulbs (51% of total imports), cotton fiber (28.2%), shorn wool (18.1%) and carrots (2.8%).

In 2013 Bashkortostan economy received 1.7 million dollars of investment from the Kyrgyz Republic. As of January 2014 on the territory of Bashkortostan there are four enterprises established with participation of the Kyrgyz capital and engaged in wholesale business and entrepreneurship.
