Ministry of Ecology RB employees collected 275 cubic metres of waste during "Green Russia" campaign

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Bashkortostan supported the nationwide environmental clean-up "Green Russia", which was held in late August at the same time in 84 regions. Employees of the Ministry and its subordinate organizations contributed to the cleaning of territories. The staff of the Office of State Analytical Control, Research Institute of Life Safety RB, Bashkir Republican Research Environmental Centre cleaned the area of the city park named after Kalinin. Workers of SUE "Tabigat" and the Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Reservations RB took part in the final clean-up event in Foresters Park of Bashkortostan.

Total within the framework of the "Green Russia" campaign about 275 cubic metres of waste were collected by the staff of the republican Ministry of Ecology. As a whole across the republic 280 volunteer clean-ups were held this day, the press service of the department informs.

The aim of the clean-up held at the initiative of the public environmental movement "Green Russia" is to improve the ecological status of regions.

The first "Green Russia" clean-up was held in 2013, with participation of 77 regions. More than two million people took part in it. According to preliminary data, about five million Russians joined this large-scale campaign this year.
