"Raise a Champion" charity project is launched in Ufa

The Bashinform News Agency held a press conference dedicated to the start of the joint project of "MegaFon" and the Rima Batalova’s Regional Public Fund "Youth of the Nation". The project "Raise a Champion" is aimed at development of youth sports and social adaptation of children with disabilities in the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2014-2015.

At the press conference, the mobile operator transferred to the Rima Batalova’s Regional Public Fund a certificate for the sum of 350 thousand rubles.

“Sports equipment and accessories for remedial schools in the republic will be purchased for these funds. Comprehensive work to support athletes with disabilities will be carried out. Through the project, correctional boarding schools No.28 and No.13, as well as school No.30 will be supplied with training devices,” the director of "MegaFon" in RB Damir Baigildin explained.

The funds will also be used to organize activities to promote the interest of children with disabilities in physical education and sports, to encourage those who achieved the best results in competitions, as well as for the training activities of volunteers involved in youth sports and adaptive activities. This will help the athletes to prepare and demonstrate their skills at the upcoming Republican Olympics to be held in late 2014.
