Bashkir State University will have access to electronic scholarly resources of foreign publishing houses

Bashkir State University (BSU) was among the winners of the competition of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) 2014 for access to electronic scientific information resources of foreign publishers in 2015, the press-centre of the university reported.

BSU victory in the competition provides access to electronic scholarly resources of American Physical Society, which publishes a number of journals devoted to physics. These journals have a high impact factor (numerical indicator of importance of scholarly journals, calculated by the Institute for Scientific Information, the USA) and have a high rating of trust and significance in the physics community.

Also, the university will have access to full-text journals in chemistry Royal Society of Chemistry and a collection of journals published by Wiley, which contains more than 1,500 journals in all fields of knowledge.

Criteria for selecting the winners were level of publications of the organization employees in journals included in one of the citation systems for the last three years (Web of Science, Scopus, Web of Knowledge, Astrophysics, PubMed, Mathematics, Chemical Abstracts, Springer, Agris, GeoRef, RISC); the number of references of the organization to the requested electronic scientific information resources for previous years (if subscription is available); number of RFBR projects performed in the organization in 2013.

The access to world-class information sources will be available since January 2015.
