"Ebola" is not diagnosed in Ufa - Ufa Infectious Diseases Hospital

The "Ebola" virus is not diagnosed in Ufa, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to Alfia Makhmudova, the doctor on duty of Ufa Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 4.

The night before, some media reported that a 25-year-old student Mohammad Sadik from Nigeria suspected of Ebola virus was delivered to the Ufa hospital.

The Ebola virus testing, according to the order of the republican Rospotrebnadzor, is being conducted in respect of all persons coming from the countries where the fever is fixed. These measures are aimed at preventing the spread of the disease among the population of the republic and the country as a whole.

The African native is not the first person to go through this procedure in Ufa. After passing certain tests he will be able to leave the hospital.

To date, 1229 people became victims of the Ebola virus. There are registered another 2240 cases of infection all over the world.
