In Ufa the Bashkortostan Republic Ice Hockey Cup 2014 came to a close. Salavat Yulaev lost in the final match to SKA (St. Petersburg) headed by Vyacheslav Bykov and Igor Zakharkin. Score-1:4.

Ufa team took the second place in the tournament. At the best goals difference Dinamo (Riga) was ahead of Atlant (Moscow). Metallurg (Magnitogorsk) - the reigning champion of the KHL - was only the fifth with a victory over SKA (4:1).
