Linden wins so far in voting for the "green" symbol of Bashkiria

Less than two weeks before the completion of a public online-voting for the title of the plant symbol of Bashkortostan, heart-shaped linden confidently holds the leadership, the press service of the Ministry of Forestry RB informs. To date, 43 percent of votes are casted for it.

Kurai (Salsola ruthenica) is located on the second position with 37 percent of votes. The lilac "Salavat Yulaev" closes the top three with 8 percent of votes.

The fourth place is occupied by the Bashkir pyramidal poplar (5 percent), fifth - wild marjoram (4 percent).

Recall that the public online voting for the "green" symbol of the region will last until August 31. According to its results in Sevastopol Victory Park the "Alley of Russia" will be laid out which will represent all regions of the country in miniature. Organizers of the event are the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Foundation for Environment Protection "Nature".
