Notice of dual citizenship can be sent through the Russian Post

Notice of dual citizenship or the right of permanent residence in a foreign country can be sent to the Federal Migration Service by Russian Post from August 14, the press service of the Postal Department informs.

In accordance with the amendments to the Federal Law "On Citizenship of the Russian Federation" Russian citizens are required to notify the Federal Migration Service of a second citizenship, or whether they have documents on the right of permanent residence in a foreign country.

Notice form can be filled in at any post office of the republic. The notification is sent to the regional offices of the Federal Migration Service by a letter with a declared value and list of contents. According to the track number provided at paying, consumers can track the delivery of notifications to the authorities of the Federal Migration Service.
