About 150 Ukrainian refugees arrived in Octyabrsky
114 forced migrants from Ukraine arrived in the city of Octyabrsky as organized groups. About 30 citizens of the neighboring country came to the city to stay with relatives and friends on their own, the municipal administration informs. These are mostly children, women and the elderly.
In the near future it is expected arrival of the next organized groups. Tatar children boarding school became the centre of temporary accommodation; people are provided with basic necessities. Psychologists, health care specialists, migration service and law enforcement officers, employment centre employees render them consultations there.
Among those who arrived there are many children. The youngest is a few weeks old, the eldest are 14-16 years old. These kids will go to schools and kindergartens of Octyabrsky city.
The city administration addresses organizational matters and appeals to residents to assist refugees. They need warm clothing, household detergents, bed linen, towels, toys, books, pencils. Everybody can assist through the integrated social services centre at 26, Sadovoe Koltso Street, tel.: 4-27-82 or directly at the temporary accommodation centre.
