Rare and very valuable mushroom is found in Bashkortostan

A rare and very valuable mushroom is found in Belebey region of Bashkortostan. Gulchekhra Kurbanova, the experienced mushroom picker found about one and a half kg of black truffle mushroom. This was reported by the newspaper «Belebeevskie Izvestiya», to which editorial office the woman brought her finding to share the joy with her natives.

According to the woman, she found the mushrooms by chance.

It is worth noting that it is not so simple to fund truffles; they grow below the ground at a depth of 10 to 30 cm. This is one of the most expensive delicacies in the world. It is valued more than gold: the cost of a kilogram ranges from 800 to several thousand dollars. Despite this, the mushroom picker from Bashkortostan is not planning to put them on sale.

The last time truffles were found in the republic in 2009. Then a resident of Ufa collected two kilos of delicious mushrooms in the forest area of Karaidel region.
