Bashkortostan and UK oncologists shared their experience in the field of surgery in Ufa

Experts in the field of oncology of the British Queen Alexandra Hospital are on a working visit in Ufa. Today, on August 4, a master class "Minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer" is being held at the Republican Clinical Oncology Centre. Republican oncologists together with experts of the British hospital held a demonstration surgery to remove a benign adenoma of the rectum. According to the deputy chief physician of Oncology Centre Rustem Ayupov, similar operations are made quite often in the republic.

As the press service of the republican Ministry of Health informs, the guests from the UK also demonstrated their skills and experience. Professor Amjad Parvaiz shared his laparoscopic techniques. According to Rustem Ayupov, also an establishment of Training Centre for conducting training courses in minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer at our Oncology Centre was discussed.

On August 4 and 5, four minimally invasive surgeries will be held. Broadcasting of master classes, educational lectures for surgeons, oncologists, coloproctologists republic will be organized by the Oncology Centre.
