Ufa, Lima and Birmingham submitted bids to host the World Games 2021

On July 29 in Lausanne (Switzerland) Bashkortostan delegation presented an Ufa bid book to host the World Games XI in 2021.
On behalf of Rustem Khamitov the document to the International World Games Association (IWGA) was submitted by the Minister of Sports and Youth Policy of Bashkortostan Andrey Ivanyuta and the head of Ufa administration Irek Yalalov.
Apart from Ufa, bids to the IWGA headquarters were submitted by Lima - the capital of Peru (7.6 million people) and U.S. city Birmingham (Alabama, 226 thousand).
World Games are complex competitions on sports not included in the Olympic program, such as karate, bodybuilding, petanque, sport dances, frisbee, billiards, and others, total more than 30.
Competitions of the XI World Games are scheduled for July-August 2021 and will be held for 11 days. The city, which makes the most convincing bid book, passes IWGA’s inspection this autumn and provides the most vivid presentation in January 2015 will bring together 4,000 athletes from one hundred countries.
In Ufa the following sports complexes can be used for the Games: "Dinamo", "Biathlon", "Ufa-Arena", Sports Palace, as well as "Pervushino" airfield, "Neftyanik" swimming-pool and stadium, and "Akbuzat" racetrack. In addition, in case of a successful bid, another five new facilities should be built in Ufa: an arena for 2,000 seats, gymnastics centre for 600 seats, arts centre for 800 seats, a stadium for beach sports for two thousand seats and an indoor track.
