Rustem Khamitov met with Rosgostsirk CEO Vadim Gagloev

On June 19, at the House of Republic Rustem Khamitov discussed prospects of overhaul repairs of Ufa State Circus with the CEO of the Russian State Circus Company (Rosgostsirk) Vadim Gagloev, the press service of the head of the region reports.

“Our circus has good attendance ratio, and certainly we would like to set it in order jointly with you in the near future”, Rustem Khamitov said.

Vadim Gagloev reported that one of the main objectives of his visit to Ufa was to examine the circus.

“As I was recently appointed on this post and has been working for the fourth month, now I actively visit all circuses, examine in what condition they are and meet with artists. Another goal is to form a plan - as they say now a "road map" regarding major overhaul of circuses. You know that circuses were actually built in the seventies and eighties. And, of course, since that time nothing happened - no major repair was conducted. Ufa circus was built in 1968; soon it will be fifty years since its construction. It is of considerable age and should be put in order,” Vadim Gagloev underlined.

After the meeting, Vadim Gagloev told reporters that usage options of Ufa circus facilities were also discussed.

“The venue is large enough in terms of audience capacity - almost two thousand seats. Besides directly circus performances it can be used for concert events, for various city and republican events. In my opinion, the circus should take an active part in the regional life. This is for one thing. Secondly the circus needs repair. It is a very important component to bring the circus in a large region of the Russian Federation to an appropriate condition. Issuing from our experience in such projects, which we will start already on Monday - in Ivanovo, for example, it is about three hundred - three hundred and fifty million rubles. But the cost, of course, will be defined in the project because this relates to work of professionals: designers, engineers - there are many components there”, the head of the Russian State Circus Company said.
