Father’s Day was celebrated in Ufa

In Ufa Yakutov Park a family city festival dedicated to the International Father's Day was held on June 15. The Festival is celebrated every third Sunday of June for more than 100 years in 52 countries.

Father's Day Festival is a holiday aimed at developing paternal feelings of Ufa townspeople and strengthening of the family. The forum is conducted by the Women's Union of Bashkortostan and the magazine "Rastim Rebenka. Ufa" with support of the All-Russia People's Front.

Workshops of "male dynasties" of Ufa - doctors, soldiers, musicians, painters, carpenters, athletes and rescue officers were held during the festival. The festival featured jousting tournaments and honouring of fathers of large families. Games and contests were carried out as part of the festival.

Another organizer of the festival - "The Road to Children" Charitable Foundation held "The Fair of Good Things", where people brought long-forgotten and unnecessary things. Donations from their sales will be directed to the Foundation’s charitable activity.

Face painting, henna painting lessons - mehendi, children manicure and a bubble show were provided for kids.
