5504 draftees from Bashkiria joined the ranks of the Russian Army

“To date, 18,459 people from 26,014 scheduled or 71 percent were called at the draft boards,” the military commissar of Bashkortostan Anatoly Baltinsky said at the session of the draft board. “5504 people were conscripted, 2447 people were sent in troops, representing 42 percent. 3246 people were exempt from conscription for health reasons, 7720 had draft determent.”

Anatoly Baltinsky also said that positive changes occurred in the organization of search for citizens who failed to appear at the assembly points. In this regard, very good job was done in Sterlitamak.

The session also addressed issues of military-medical commission work. Unfortunately, there were cases of recruits return from the republican assembly point. There were some problems with quality of medical boards work in cities and regions.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Marat Magadeev, conscripts of the republic are in demand in the armed forces and receive good reviews from commanders.

At the moment, the spring draft continues, the final conclusions will be made upon its completion.
