Scientists of Bashkir State University have won 10 million grant

The scientific staff of the Genetics and Fundamental Medicine Department of Bashkir State University (BSU) was awarded a grant in the amount of 10 million rubles within the federal target program of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation "Research and development on priority directions of scientific- technological complex of Russia for 2014-2020".

The project "Creation of predictive test system for assessing the risk of development and personalizing approaches to widespread cancer therapy by studying genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of tumour growth" won in the competition on priority direction "Life Sciences". The project leader is Professor Elsa Khusnutdinova, the BSU press centre reports.

In assessing works the commission considered the quality of a research project, qualifications, experience and scientific achievements of the group of scientists, potential of participants, their professional reputation and financial support of the project.
