Progress of bid campaign to host the World Games 2021 was discussed in Ufa

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan held a meeting on the bid campaign to host the World Games 2021 in Ufa.

The meeting was held under the supervision of the head of Youth and Sports Ministry Andrei Ivanyuta. The event was attended by representatives of the organizing committee and federations of non-Olympic sports included in the World Games program of 2021.

At the meeting with the sport community, issues of construction and placement of sports objects, compliance of already built sports facilities with international requirements were raised. Problem of transport accessibility was also discussed.

The preparation work for participation in the bid campaign began in the republic three years ago. The formal decision to nominate Ufa to host the World Games was made in Moscow in the beginning of this year. Now the Bid Committee has been compiling the Bid Book to be submitted to the Organizing Committee of the World Games until July 31, 2014.
