Bashkortostan is hosting an international environmental campaign "Save and Protect"

Bashkortostan is hosting an international environmental campaign "Save and Protect". The international project is carried out in the republic since 2010. Annually the event involves municipalities, executive authorities and local self-government institutions of sport, culture, education and youth policy. All activities are aimed at accomplishment and clean-up of water protection zones, protected areas. The main objective of the event is to draw attention to environmental issues and to form ecological culture of the population.

According to the approved plan of activities conducting of the following environmental actions is supposed: "Clean banks to our rivers and lakes!", "No more garbage ", "Days of protection from environmental hazards ", "My Republic " as well as contests "Waste problem through the eyes of children"," Second life to waste!". As part of the "Save and Protect" campaign secondary schools of the republic will take part in the projects of international environmental program «Life-Link» (Sweden), in the project "100 Wonders of Bashkortostan".

The "Save and Protect" environmental campaign takes place in the republic under the motto "Ecology and Culture - the future of Bashkortostan".
