The Russian government has recognized Bashkortostan as one of the best regions in development rates for three years

Bashkortostan is recognized as one of the best regions of Russia on the level and rates of development. This is stated in the RF Government’s preliminary regional rating published on May 12. It is based on the results evaluating the performance of executive bodies of subjects of the Russian Federation taking into account the rates of indexes for a three year period (2011-2013). Thus, the republic from the 36th position (in 2010-2012) surged to the 10th position appearing in the leading group.
According to efficiency evaluation for 2013, the Republic of Tatarstan occupies the first position. The Tyumen Region, Khant -Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra retained their leading positions. They are followed by the Voronezh region, Chechen Republic, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and the Moscow region.
Last year Khakassia Republic, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, Bryansk, Ryazan, Kaluga, Leningrad and Magadan regions, Nenets Autonomous District left the top 20 of regions. Positions of the Altai Territory (61st place) and the Kostroma region (67th place) substantially decreased.
The lowest values of effectiveness were obtained by the executive authorities of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (80th place), the Republic of Karelia (81st place), the Jewish Autonomous Region (82nd place) and Kurgan region (83rd place) in 2013.
During three years Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Sakha (Yakutia), Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod and Samara regions became leaders in level and growth of economy. The lowest results for three years in economic development were shown by Kabardino-Balkaria, Karelia, Vladimir, Volgograd, Tver and Kurgan regions.
Overall, according to the results of 2013 positions of 39 subjects of the Russian Federation have improved, of 40 – have declined, of four - have not changed.
