German experts were interested in work of Bashkir Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled

Specialists of WEK labour workshops from the German city of Esslingen visited the vocational guidance department of the Republican Rehabilitation Centre for Children and Adolescents with Disabilities. This was the last point in the program of the German colleagues’ visit in Bashkortostan. Within two weeks German recreation therapists acquainted with activities of a number of educational, medical and social facilities of Bashkortostan - Republican Psychiatric Hospital, special secondary schools of Ufa, Birsk, Salavat , Neftekamsk, Yanaul, a branch of Kumertau Rehabilitation Centre. The working trip was organized as part of the UNESCO international campaign "Inclusive Education".

Exchange of experience between recreation therapists from our countries is conducted permanently. Bashkir teachers and educators are already familiar with forms and methods of German experts work. Colleagues showed the guests from Germany their rehabilitation practices through various types of crafts.

German recreation therapists considered the idea of rehabilitation using wood carving and creating products of rolled-up paper as quite promising. Such classes are important for the development of fine motor skills of hands, all experts say.
