19,000 people have purchased new cars in Bashkiria for three months

Bashkortostan took the sixth place in the rating of Russian regions in terms of new car market in the first quarter of 2014. Such data are given by the analytical agency "Autostat".

Overall, the Russian new cars market during the reporting period reached 549.3 thousand cars, which is by 0.6 percent higher than a year earlier.

Leading positions traditionally are occupied by Moscow and Moscow region, where for the first three months of the year 132.9 thousand new cars were sold. The share of the capital with suburbs in the total market was nearly a quarter of the market - 24.2 percent. Together with St. Petersburg, which takes the third position in the rating, and the Leningrad region - the market share of the two capitals with their suburbs amounted to 31.1 percent.

Thus, the top ten regions of the rating, including Bashkortostan, in aggregate make more than half of the market - 53.5 percent. However, sales of new cars decreased by 0.9 percent in the republic compared with the same period of the last year.
