Young scientists discussed theoretical and practical medicine issues in Ufa

Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) hosted the Russian Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Theoretical and Practical Medicine Issues" devoted to the upcoming SCO and BRICS Summits in Ufa. The forum was attended by young scientists of India and Kazakhstan. The conference was organized by BSMU, Youth Policy Committee of Ufa and the Ministry of Education RB.

The conference brought together more than 1,5 thousand of young scientists and students. Over 300 scientific papers were heard at 17 breakout sessions. In addition, the section of secondary vocational education was opened, where students of medical and pharmaceutical colleges of Ufa and Birsk made their reports. Particular attention was paid to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people. During the plenary session on the BSMU Pro-rector for Science and Innovation, Professor Valery Kataev noted that the purpose of the conference was to promote international cooperation and interdisciplinary research, to create opportunities for the development of scientific potential of youth. This is especially important on the eve of the SCO and BRICS Summits to be held in Ufa in 2015.

Following the results of the conference 74 winners of the contest among students and young scientists were awarded diplomas and prizes, the press service of the ANO "Office Group of SCO BRICS" Ufa -2015" informs.
