Standardization Centre of Bashkiria will be engaged in intellectual property protection

The State Regional Centre of Standardization, Metrology and Testing in the Republic of Bashkortostan will participate in the formation of intellectual property protection system in the republic. Currently the Centre is involved in the development of the relevant state program. This was told by experts of the Centre at the II Forum "Innovation Potential of Russia" organized by Rospatent (Russian Agency for Patents and Trademarks) and the Federal Institute of Industrial Property. Participation in the forum was provided by a live link-up between Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Astrakhan and Irkutsk.

The State Regional Centre of Standardization RB since 2013 is a supporting organization of Rospatent in the region. The republic according to the last year results is ranked the second in the Volga Federal District and the sixth in Russia by the number of applications for patents for inventions. Bashkortostan is the first in the Volga Federal District and the sixth in Russia on applications for registration of trademarks.
