Ufa presentation to host the XI World Games 2021 will be held in Moscow

On April 25, a meeting on preparation of the Bid Book and presentation of Ufa to host the XI World Games 2021 will be held in the Moscow Representative Office of Bashkortostan Republic.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB, the meeting will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Sports of Russia, the Russian Olympic Committee, the Committee on National and non-Olympic sports, leaders of All-Russian sports federations included in the program of the World Games XI. The final decision on the venue of the competition will be made in 2015.

The World Games are held by the International World Games Association (IWGA) every four years after the Olympics in 30 sports not included in the Olympic program (powerlifting, precision sports, martial arts, acrobatics, dancing, national sports).

The first Games were held in 1981 in the United States. Since then, they were welcomed in the UK, Germany (twice), the Netherlands, Finland, Japan, China and Colombia. In 2017, the competition will take place in Poland.

"Bashkortostan is deservedly considered one of the most developed in sports regions of Russia, with extensive experience in major international competitions", the President RB Rustem Khamitov said earlier.
