First forest fires are recorded in Bashkortostan

The last day in Bashkortostan a ground fire is registered in Alsheevsky forestry at a distance of two kilometers from Starosharipovo village of Davlekanovsky region. As the press service of the Ministry of Forestry informs, the fire was extinguished the same day.
Agricultural burning was the cause of the fire. It damaged 0.84 hectares of forest area and 1.5 hectares of land not covered with woodland. 11 people participated in the fire extinguishing including emergency officers, two units of special equipment were used.
The first wildfire this year was registered in the region on April 3. As a result of a gas leak from the pipeline "Chelyabinsk - Petrovsk" a crown fire started in the territory of Belokataysky region, 4.5 kilometers from Urgala village. It was also extinguished on the day of ignition. The fire damaged then 4.7 hectares of forest.
Total, two forest fires are registered in the republic. The overall area damaged by the fire at the moment reaches 7.4 hectares. The average area of one forest fire in the region is 3.52 hectares. The efficiency of fire extinguishing is 100 percent.
