Ecological marathon for separate waste collection starts in Ufa

In Ufa a citywide environmental charity marathon starts on April 19. Its main objective is to increase activity of Ufa townspeople in issues of separate waste collection and provide targeted financial assistance to patients of "Our Children" Foundation.

Charity funds will be collected through the household waste selling, including glass bottles, PET bottles and aluminum cans.

The ecological marathon will be held by a group of companies "Clean City" with the support of Ufa administration.

According to the press service of the city administration, volunteers of Ufa State University of Economics and Service will come to work at one of the parks of the city on April 19, not only to clear-up the territory, but also to participate in the charity marathon on separate waste collection.

Many socially responsible Ufa universities also will join the upcoming marathon. Ufa State Petroleum Technological University was among the first. A container for the separate collection of glass, plastic and aluminum cans will be established in the territory of its campus during the marathon.

From April 19, storage hoppers of "Clean City" will take waste from households for the marathon conducted. Everyone can contribute and do a good deed bringing garbage.
