Bashkortostan branch of All-Russia People’s Front organizes "St. George Ribbon" campaign

On the eve of the Victory Day the Regional Branch of the Russian Public Movement "People's Front - For Russia in the Republic of Bashkortostan" (ONF) holds "St. George Ribbon" campaign. Activists will distribute a symbol of victory to anybody who wants to in the republic. The ribbon is tied or attached to clothing as a sign of respect and remembrance of the heroic deeds of soldiers at the Great Patriotic War.

“By this action, which starts in Ufa on April 16, we start a series of events dedicated to the Victory Day,” a member of the regional branch of the ONF Ruslan Gizatullin said. “On April 18, a distribution of St. George ribbons will take place in districts. There will also be carried out other events, of not less importance. The thematic cycle is closed with a great holiday at the "Akbuzat" racetrack on May 10.

The campaigns on distribution of St. George ribbons on the eve of the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 have become traditional. They are arranged by various ministries and departments of the republic, public and youth organizations, political parties, volunteers. Every year, this movement attracts new members. Thus, the regional branch of All-Russia People’s Front will conduct this event for the first time.
