1106.6 thousand people reside in Ufa

The permanent population of Ufa, including settlements subordinate to city administration is 1106.6 thousand people, according to the materials of the City Hall.

On number of population Ufa occupies the 11th position among 15 million- cities in Russia. On birth rate Ufa is in the first place in descending order, on mortality – on the third in ascending order. As a result, the capital of Bashkortostan has the first result among megacities in terms of natural population increase (in descending order).

Over the past 13 years an increase in birth rate is observed in the republic along with decrease in mortality. Natural population growth has been observed since 2008.
