Birth rate in Bashkiria increased by 5.1 percent in January and February

In January-February 9737 people were born in Bashkortostan - by 5.1 percent more than in the same period in 2013, according to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency. Rise in births is marked in six cities of the republic: Ufa, Agidel, Neftekamsk, Octyabrsky, Salavat and Sterlitamak, as well as in 32 municipal regions.
Mortality decreased by 5.5 percent. For two months 8892 people died in the republic.
Thus, the number of births in Bashkortostan has exceeded the number of deaths by 9.5 percent against 1.6 percent in January-February 2013.
According to statistics, across the Russian Federation the number of deaths exceeds the number of births by 5.5 percent. Natural increase is observed in 35 of 83 subjects of the country.
In the Volga Federal District, natural growth, besides Bashkortostan was registered in Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Mari El, Chuvashia, the Perm and Orenburg Regions.
