Ufa residents prefer houses in the suburbs to metropolitan high-rise buildings

Opinion polls of Ufa residents show that compared with the data of previous years a steady increase in demand for suburban housing - from 47 percent in 2008 to 56.5 percent in 2013 is observed. Such data was given by the head of information-analytical department of Ufa administration Askar Fazlyev at a press-conference held on March 18.

He also noted that 56.5 percent of those wishing to purchase a house in the suburbs ready to consider a townhouse as housing, and 37.7 percent believe that this type of housing is unacceptable for them.

Almost a quarter of respondents said they would like to buy residential housing in Ufa. Half of them are ready to consider a possibility of low-cost housing acquiring. Almost half of potential buyers prefer to buy an apartment in the primary market or under construction (33 and 13 percent, respectively).
