Rustem Khamitov signed a decree "On the celebration of Victory Day in 2014"

To commemorate the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov signed a decree "On the celebration of the Victory Day in 2014", the press service of the head of the region reports.

In accordance with the decree congratulations on the Victory Day of World War II veterans living in the territory of Bashkortostan Republic will be organized; on May 7, in Ufa a gala concert and solemn welcoming veterans will be held at the Recreation Centre; on May 9 flowers and wreaths will be laid at the memorial complex in Victory Park in Ufa.

Municipal administrations of the republic together with departments of the Military Commissariat of Bashkortostan, veterans’ councils, youth and children's public associations are recommended to organize laying of wreaths and flowers at the monuments and obelisks, to hold solemn assemblies and cultural events dedicated to the Victory Day honoring the soldiers and homefront workers, widows of war veterans.

Control over the execution of the decree is assigned to the Presidential Administration RB.
