In Sochi a ski program of Winter Paralympics 2014 finished. In the last 10 km race in the "sitting" category the Russians had only a bronze medal of Gregory Murygin.

The Canadian Chris Klebl became the Champion of Winter Paralympics 2014 in this race, Ukrainian Maxim Yarovoy won a silver award.

The six-time champion of the current Paralympics Roman Petushkov could not make his athletic feat for the seventh time having finished 4th in the race. The veteran of Bashkir sports Irek Zaripov was the 7th in the discipline.

Thus, Bashkir medal count of Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi 2014 had the following 7 awards: 2 "gold" of Azat Karachurin (biathlon, 12.5 km) and Kirill Mikhailov (skiing, 1 km), "silver" of Irek Zaripov (skiing, 15 km) and four "bronze" of Azat Karachurin (biathlon 7.5 km), Kirill Mikhailov (biathlon , 15 km) and twice of Alexander Davidovich (biathlon 15 km, skiing 15 km). The only woman at this Paralympics representing Bashkortostan in the Russian team, Nadezhda Andreeva did not manage to get awards, but gained good international experience.
