German folk festival «Fasching Fastnacht Karneval» was spent in Blagovarsky region

A celebration dedicated to the expectation of spring - «Faschig Fastnacht Karnewal» (shrove-tide, carnival) was held in the German historical and cultural centre "Alexis" of Blagovarsky region.

The main objective of this event is health promotion with folk ways: games, competitions, outdoors activities.

Festivities were opened by the head of the centre Tatiana Kaats. According to her, every year more and more people return to the national traditions.

The culmination of the celebration was a pageant featuring Emelya, King and Princess Nesmeyana. Emelya read a decree on the funny event. The king asked the participants of the festival to cheer his daughter Nesmeyana with games, dances and jokes.

Children gladly participated in the games: sack races, jumping with a ball, wall-to-wall fist fighting, tug of war. Having overcome all obstacles and tasks, participants of the event received sweet prizes.
