Competition for Rima Batalova’s Public Award "Youth of the Nation" is announced in Bashkortostan

Rima Batalova’s regional public fund "Youth of the Nation" supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB announces the launch of the republican competition for the I Public Award "Youth of the Nation".

The Public Award is named after 13-fold Paralympic champion, 18 - fold World Champion, 43 - fold European champion, honoured master of sports, State Duma deputy, Vice President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Rima Batalova.

The competition is timed to the XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014 and will define the best young athletes with disabilities, coaches, athletic young families with disabled children, philanthropists, as well as media covering disability issues. Winners will be selected in seven nominations: "Breakthrough of the Year ", "Sports Without Borders" "Hope of Paralympic sport", "Secrets of Victory" "Bringing up a Champion", "The Call of the Heart ", "Free Opinion".

Announcement of results and the awarding ceremony will be held at the Mazhit Gafuri’s Bashkir Drama Theatre on April 4.
