Beloretsk native Ksenia Alopina will compete in Sochi as part of the Russian Olympic team in Alpine skiing

On Friday, February 21, Ksenia Alopina, a native of the city of Beloretsk, the master of sports of Russia will compete in alpine skiing slalom at the Winter Olympics.
Today Ksenia Alopina is the fourth-year student of the Russian State University of Physical Culture, Sport, Youth and Tourism, a member of the Russian national team in alpine skiing, one of the strongest slalom skiers in our country.
She is two-time champion of Russia among juniors; she has two silver medals of Russian Championship. In January 2012, she made a debut as a promising alpine skier in the European Cup. In 2013, she competed fro the first time at the World Championship in Schladming.
In the Olympic season Ksenia managed to achieve stability, due to which she was able to become the fourth at the Winter Universiade in Trentino, climbed the podium in New Zealand and demonstrated good results in stages of the European Cup, the chief specialist of information-analytical department of Beloretsk administration Olga Kolesnikova said.
