Semen Yelistratov and Ruslan Zakharov as part of the Russian quartet reached the finals of the Olympic 5000 m relay

Semifinals in men's 5000 m relay in short track took place at the Winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi.
Viktor An, Vladimir Grigoriev, Ufa residents Ruslan Zakharov and Semen Yelistratov ran for the Russian team in the semifinals.
Their competitors were athletes from China, Italy and Canada.
In the first half of the race Canadian failed to pass the turn and finished his fight. About six laps before the finish the Russian quartet managed to fulfill a maneuver and reached the second place. At the finish Russia was the first.
On February 21, Russians will compete with Chinese, Americans, Kazakhs and Dutch short-trackers.
Note that two main favourites - South Korea and Canada dropped out of the fight for "gold".
