Fauna preservation issues are submitted for public discussion in Bashkiria

The Ministry of Ecology of Bashkortostan invited all interested citizens to participate in the discussion of issues related to the protection and use of wildlife.

According to the press service of the Ministry, it is done on behalf of the President of Russia, and relates to examining by the executive bodies the spheres of social relations, as well as improving the effectiveness of the current system of fauna preservation.

Among the issues submitted for public discussion – is return of the delegated powers regarding protection and use of wildlife and their habitats to the federal level.

In addition, creation of unified federal executive bodies for management and supervision over natural renewable resources, as well as implementing economic incentives to combat poaching are proposed for consideration.

Offers from citizens, organizations and companies operating in the field of hunting, should be addressed to the Directorate on protection of fauna and the habitats thereof of the Ministry of Ecology RB (86 Lenin Street, Ufa, e-mail: ecology@bashkortostan.ru) until February 28, 2014.
