Maxim Chudov became mayor of "Sloboda" in Sochi

In Sochi three Olympic villages are opened that will welcome athletes and officials at the coming Winter Olympics 2014. Ufa resident, biathlete Maxim Chudov recently finished his professional career of an athlete became a mayor of "Sloboda" village.

Additional mountain Olympic village "Sloboda" is located in close proximity (500-800 metres) from the complex for competition in cross country skiing and biathlon that provide accommodation for athletes on the same height as the competitions will take place. In the mountain village additional accommodation of 1100 athletes will be provided participating in sports such as cross-country skiing and biathlon, as well as members of delegations.

There is its own host in every village - one of the official mascot of the Games. Polar Bear is a hospitable host of the coastal village. Leopard is an active, brave host of the mountain village. Doe Hare is a kind, cheerful hostess of the additional mountain "Sloboda" village.

The world record holder in pole vault Yelena Isinbayeva became the mayor of the village with the host Polar Bear and Leopard in pair with the skating star Svetlana Zhurova will welcome guests in the mountain village.
