Executive Secretary of SCO Business Council is to visit Ufa

The Executive Secretary of the Business Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Sergey Kanavsky is to visit Ufa in mid-February for personal acquaintance with the preparations for the Summits in 2015.

The Russian delegation included: the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation, the National Chairman of the SCO Business Council from Russia Sergey Katyrin, Director of the External Relations Department and Work with Business Councils Vladimir Padalko and Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce RB, the Deputy Chairman of the national part of the SCO Business Council from Russia Azat Fazlyev.

At the meeting the ceremony of transfer of authorities from the Chairman of the SCO Business Council Marat Sharshekeev (CCI President of the Kyrgyz Republic) to Sharif Said (the President of the national part of the SCO from the Republic of Tajikistan) was held. The agenda also included issues of cooperation between the countries- SCO members in various fields. Aspects of preparing and conducting events in the run-up to and within the Russian presidency of the SCO in 2014-2015 were also examined.

Azat Fazlyev told about the preparation for the business part of the SCO and BRICS Summits program in Ufa. He noted that during the SCO and BRICS Summits 1000 participants of the Business Forum from Tajikistan, South Africa, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Kazakhstan, China and Russia would arrive in the capital of Bashkortostan. Also observers and partners will participate in the events. The business program of the Summits is designed for two days.
