Three-digit numbers for emergency calls are introduced in Russia

Three-digit numbers for emergency calls, similar for all emergency services operators are introduced in Russia. Now you need to dial 101, 102, 103 and 104 to call fire, police, ambulance service or gas service. You can get information about the e-government services on the short number 115.

Note that the unified emergency number 112 will continue to function for calls in case of emergency situations. Only the number 122 for access the telephone line "A child is in danger" will be changed; two new numbers - 121 and 123 will be allocated for the line.

All of these numbers can be used in networks of all local telephony operators in Russia. The possibility to use numbers 01, 02, 03 and 04 for fixed-line phones still remains active.

As the Ministry of Communications marks, the transition to a new numbering system will be step by step, it involves gradual introduction of the new system as to the technical readiness of different operators all over Russia.
