Maxim Chudov will retire from sports with the Olympic Torch in his hands

Maxim Chudov announced about finishing his sports career, the press service of the Russian Biathlon Union informs.
In Russia for the last time Maxim Chudov will take part in the individual race at "Izhevsk Rifle" on December 20.
On December 21 Maxim Chudov will take part in the Olympic Torch Relay carrying the torch along his native "Biathlon" sports complex.
“That's good that I will finish my career like this - with Olympic Torch in my hands. I do not regret a second of that time which I dedicated to biathlon,” Maxim Chudov said.
Maxim Chudov was born on November 12, 1982 in Mikhailovka village (Bashkortostan). He is engaged in biathlon since 1998. The Honored Master of Sports. Olympic bronze medalist in 2010 in Vancouver as part of men's relay, three-time world champion (2007 – relay, 2008 - relay, sprint). Three-time World Championship silver medalist ( 2007 - pursuit , 2008 - pursuit , 2009 - pursuit) . Bronze medalist in the mass start at the World Championship 2008. Multiple winner of the World Cup. Three-time World Champion in summer biathlon. Honored Master of Sports of Russia. Maxim Chudov is awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples (Bashkortostan).
