Olympic Flame is approaching Ufa

The Olympic Torch Relay, the symbol of peace, sport, friendship and mutual understanding, passing thousands of kilometers through Russia, is arriving in the capital of Bashkortostan. On December 20 and 21 the torch will be carried along the streets of Ufa by famous athletes, coaches, artists, teachers, pupils and students, residents of Bashkortostan, who made a significant contribution to the prosperity of our native land.

The start of the Torch Relay will begin at the railway station of Ufa on December 20. A celebratory event with a performance of creative groups is planned on the forecourt of the station from 9:00.

During the first day the Olympic Flame will visit Yakutov Park and Salavat Yulaev Square, the Friendship Monument, "Olympic Park" and Sipailovo residential district.

The final celebration of the first day of the Torch Relay will be held at the "Akbuzat" Hippodrome at 17.20. A concert of creative ensembles and a flash mob of 500 Grand Father Frosts are planned to be held on the arena of the "Akbuzat".

On December 21, at 8:30 the events will continue at the square in front of JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association". The Olympic Torch will visit Victory Park, "Biathlon" sports complex, Lenin Square, Palace of Sports.

A finishing spurt - arrival to the square in front of the "Ufa- Arena" sports complex will take place at 19 o’clock, where the final celebrations with the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron of the city will be conducted.
