International Conference "Professional Architect. Times of Change" is opened in Ufa

International Conference "Professional Architect. Times of Change" is opened at Ufa Congress Hall on Thursday, December 12.

The conference is attended by over 180 delegates from Russia and abroad. Kamil Mansurov, the Chairman of the State Committee for Construction and Architecture welcomed participants on behalf of the regional leadership.

The conference participants will discuss the problems of architectural education and licensing activities, as well as rules of law in this area.

The conference will last for two days. During this time the leading architects will tell about the specific nature of the construction market and the interaction between architects and manufacturers. Gonzague Arnoux de Pirey, the Director General of "Saint-Gobain CIS" will demonstrate innovations in the construction market. The "SMART CITY" concept will be presented by Iwao Ohashi, senior representative of "Nomura Research Institute, Ltd" (Japan) in the Russian Federation. The chief architect of Ufa, the Head of Department of Architecture and Urban Planning Ildar Ibragimov will tell about the architectural future of Ufa.

Also, participants will consider the legislation issues in the field of architecture, professional standards in different countries, "green" standards, quality construction materials and professional education.
