BRICS and SCO summits will be held in Ufa in late June or early July 2015

In Ufa BRICS and SCO summits will be held in late June or early July 2015, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Salavat Sagitov said the press-conference at the regional office of ITAR-TASS.
Nevertheless, the exact dates are not yet defined. Salavat Sagitov also stressed that the preparation works for the Summits went as planned; there are no prerequisites for transferring activities to other cities.
Construction of hotels and also renovation of the existing hotels is being conducted in Ufa. Construction works proceed at Ufa Congress Hall.
“We have visited BRICS and SCO forums in 2013, G20 meeting, become acquainted with the organization of these events in Durban, Bishkek and St. Petersburg. After getting acquainted with the organization of the events and other meetings, we realized that we would be able to organize adequately SCO and BRICS Summits in Ufa in 2015” Salavat Sagitov said.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government RB, one of the goals of preparation to the Summits is to raise recognizability of the republic, to promote it at the domestic and international levels.
For 2013 total four large-scale presentations have been held in the SCO and BRICS countries. At the moment, some progress was made in business relations with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Days Republic of Bashkortostan were successfully held in Astana. For media representatives of the SCO and BRICS countries, the International tour of photographers, the International Forum for young journalists, bloggers and photographers of SCO countries and Russian megacities were held in 2013.
The Chairman of the State Committee RB on Transport and Road Facilities Ilyas Munirov said that the federal budget allocated more than 7 billion rubles for the reconstruction of the Ufa international airport. Its capacity will increase from 200 to 800 people per hour.
During the Summit organizers will be assisted by about 500 volunteers from Bashkir State University and Bashkir State Medical University.
