Bashkir Branch of the Russian Post forecasts an increase in mailings by 35-40 percent year-end

Volume of all processed mailings compared with previous monthly averages in the Pre-New Year and New Year's days will increase by 35-40 percent, the Bashkir Branch of the Russian Post forecasts.

In a number of post offices working hours are revised in Ufa. In larger offices additional parcel post windows are opened, the press service of the Post department informs.

Additional transport, the staff for sorting and sending mail is involved in the company, additional postal routes are introduced. Enhanced measures to ensure the safety of postal valuables and fire safety of postal service are implemented.

It is expected that the rate of receiving, processing and delivery of postal items will increase thanks to the agreement signed between the Russian Post and China Post. In particular, it is planned to open a car route from China to Orenburg and new places of international postal exchange in Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg.

In addition, during the New Year period a solemn opening of six post offices is planned in Ufa Mezhgorye, Salavat, Octyabrsky, Chekmagush and the village Nichola-Beryozovka of Krasnokamsky region.

In the pre-holiday days, additional services for the population are rendered. One of the most popular is "Greetings from Grandfather Frost". Everyone will be able to please his loved ones of all ages, having issued in any post office a traditional greeting from Grandfather Frost in the form of a letter or a gift. As of today more than three thousand residents of Bashkortostan used this service.
