Fireworks will colour the New Year's night sky over Ufa

On the New Year's Eve in the square in front of the City Council Ufa townspeople will enjoy unforgettable spectacle - fireworks will colour the sky, the head of the culture and arts department Islametdin Mambetov said at the meeting in the Mayor's Office in Ufa.

Traditionally, a series of winter celebrations is opened with a parade of Grandfathers Frost, which will take place in the square in front of "Akbuzat" Hippodrome on December 20. More than 1,500 fancy-dressed actors will take part in it. Then Presidential New Year’s Children Party will be held at the Youth Palace of Bashkir State Agrarian University on December 23. New Year’s Children Parties will take place in all city recreation centres on December 24.

Opening of the main New Year’s Tree in the Lenin square is scheduled for December 25, according to the head of the city administration Irek Yalalov. The mayor also said that they would try to switch on celebratory illumination before December 15. Irek Yalalov stressed that the ice playing grounds would please Ufa townspeople, as long as possible as in the past year.
